From Burned Our To Burning Bright II

Due to the positive results of the October 2024’s From Burned Out to Burning Bright Conference held at Houghton College, Houghton, New York, the Allegany County Trauma-Informed Communities Coalition, the GOW Cares Alliance, the GOW Pathway to Hope Coalition, and Compelled to Be Well, LLC , are pleased to announce an encore event! Join us on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 9 AM- 4PM, at Genesee Community College for From Burned Out to Burning Bright Session 2! For individuals who attended the first conference, please share your experience with colleagues who were not in attendance but may be interested in participating in this upcoming event. We also encourage you to attend again as there are opportunities to hear from different local leaders and attend a different breakout!

Educators, social workers, healthcare professionals, mental health practitioners, human service providers, emergency responders, law enforcement personnel, and individuals susceptible to burnout are encouraged to participate.

Burnout is a common experience, particularly in helping professions, where the demanding nature of work can lead to significant vicarious and toxic stress. Balancing professional duties with personal responsibilities, such as work commitments, assisting others, and caring for family members, can quickly consume our time and life like an extinguishing flame. It is essential to recognize the signs of burnout that arise when we neglect to pause and prioritize self-care.
