It’s an inexplicable feeling when you finally find true meaning
A sudden burst of euphoria, of enlightenment
That is smash to the ground all of a sudden
For in the past you’ve learned that things don’t last and people,
usually do not stay around
Yet I thank the universe for all the life-shaping droughts
It is an inexplicable feeling of surrender
For all your life, you’ve been fighting for something better
Other than mediocrity
Other than the impacts of redlining
All your life, you’ve been fighting yourself, trauma, and systems.
Anger, distrust, and nihilism
So this, the moment of realism
It is the feeling of surrender, for deep down,
you know you are indestructible
You’ve learned through the journey that there is strength in being vulnerable.
For instead of anger choose to hold on to integrity
Instead of distrust, you open to healing to societies
Instead of nihilism, you grip on hope, chances, and opportunities
In all of this, we have a common theme,
The inexplicable feeling
It’s In the thought, in the action, in the fears and reactions.
It comforted you in your doubts and strengthens you when you finally awaken.
There, even. if. forsaken.
It reveals itself in subtle ways
As simply as getting yourself through the day
Doesn’t matter the time, it does not fade with age
