Tides of Peace

Storytellers in Residence

My soul, dances within the dark of my sea,

while my spirit shines loudly, powered, humble and free.

My mind sails away as it yearns for a touch of peace.

As my heart gets weak,

waves of tears flow,

drowning,

sunken,

incomplete.

Foundation hits bottom a woeful defeat

Trials,

Just me

Quickly going insane

Miles of miserable

Destructive actions echo my pain

My vessel moves onward amazing like, exquisitely.

Flowing, passionately, dipping,

The intensity

Deeply, madly my thoughts rain fire destruction

a burning pain,

Tears

water damaged,

in my soul,

Scars that can never be managed

Wait

I can swim

Soul destroying motion

The kicking and pulling, an unvaried, deceptive notion.

Floating face down in a sea of tears

Drowning in a selfish sea of fears.

Pull and stretch as I scream and call

Grabbing for nothing when nothing is my all.

Washing away sailing away, drifted to another place in time.

Far away, looking for a better place

Searching for an obscure place to hide.

A freedom for my mind.

Lost in a sea of tears that expand.

My mind drifting apart from the stability of sand.

A million grains that trains the way of the land

I’ve reached solid ground

I survived I didn’t drown

I’ve reached a pinnacle

A milestone Miracle

Floating wing’s open air born soaring

An absence of yearning

Incomplete missions now complete

Survival

Time changes for a greater glory

Gracefully broken in an intense thunderstorm story

Bring me back to before the storm

My vessel is my story

Bandaged and complete I swim free in the elegance of the sea that has always been me
