People working on the frontlines during crisis situations experience varied types of emotions. Even those that have adequate self-care practices to manage everyday situations may feel that they are lacking in times of crisis. As a frontline professional, it is important, particularly during crisis situations, that you can recognize when your typical self-care practices may not be meeting your needs. Additionally, it is important that you look for other ways to ensure you are properly caring for yourself, so you can care for others. The goal of this course is to provide staff working in healthcare settings with information about self-care and strategies they can use for self-care during crisis situations.
