The Boys’ Club of New York

The Boys Club of New York (BCNY) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering boys and young men, primarily from underserved communities in New York City, to reach their full potential.

Founded in 1876, BCNY provides a safe, supportive environment where members can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. The organization offers a wide range of programs focused on: • Education & STEM – tutoring, academic enrichment, and college readiness • Health & Wellness – sports, fitness, and mental health support • Arts & Culture – creative expression through visual arts, music, and media • Character & Leadership – mentorship, life skills, and leadership development • Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) – intentional programming that builds self-awareness, emotional regulation, empathy, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. Through mentorship, group discussions, and real-life skill building, members develop resilience, confidence, and the ability to navigate challenges both inside and outside the clubhouse. BCNY operates multiple clubhouses across New York City, serving youth from early childhood through young adulthood. Its mission centers on helping members build strong character, achieve academic success, and develop into emotionally intelligent, responsible, and productive adults.
