Elementor Single Post #11056

February 18, 2025

In reviewing our newsletter for this month, I felt a rising tide of amazement, warmth, and connection.  What is captured in images and words is the unfailing efforts of dedicated and caring individuals coming together for collective well-being and healing.  There are pictures of people I have worked alongside with for almost a quarter of a century and there are those I only met within the last six months, yet I experience the strength that comes from the bond that unites us as we work towards common goals.  And while we are in the depths of winter, this edition feels like a harvest as we can all enjoy the fruits of our labor whether that is joining a BBM practice, applying to become a Tending the Roots Instructor, listening to a podcast, or reading the latest blog.  Together, we have created this rich table of offerings.

I have been reflecting recently on differentiating between investing my time in what keeps me busy and what is important.  It is a common and expected response in our society when asked “how are you?” to reply “busy” and then move on.  What might happen if the authentic response was “I am both fulfilled and restored because I am doing what matters most”?  I invite you to try it out with me and let’s see what happens.

With gratitude,

Elizabeth

Tips for Having Conversations with People Who Disagree With You

There are plenty of situations in life where you can agree to disagree. But sometimes, that’s simply not an option, especially in situations where someone else’s views and beliefs—and expression of those views and beliefs—hurt you or violate your boundaries.
