In this interactive training, participants will explore the groundbreaking When You Hit Me app, which uses 3D medical animations to reveal the hidden, multi-system impacts of corporal punishment on a child’s developing brain and body. Participants will learn how to integrate the app into conversations with parents and caregivers to explain the physiological and emotional consequences of hitting, framing corporal punishment as a form of toxic stress and an Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE). Through culturally sensitive approaches, attendees will gain the skills to challenge harmful norms and advocate for non-violent parenting practices that promote healthier, more resilient children.
