Forging a Path through the Rhetoric to Resilience: NYC Resilience Collaborative Quarterly Meeting (June 2026)
June 24 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
The NYC Resilience Collaborative’s upcoming quarterly meeting will feature a brief presentation, facilitated discussion and Q&A exploring trauma, resilience and healing within Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming (TGNC) communities.
We are proud to welcome as our guest speaker Phoenix Kawamoto, a social worker, educator, coalition-builder, and nationally-recognized advocate with extensive experience in community engagement, prevention, and resilience-building. In this meeting, we hope to create an opportunity to move beyond headlines and assumptions, deepen our understanding of TGNC experiences within the current landscape, and reflect on what it means to be an ally today within our own spheres of influence.

ABOUT THE NYC RESILIENCE COLLABORATIVE (NYCRC)
The NYCRC is a collective of advocates and champions of trauma-informed care around New York City and the tri-state area. We aim to provide a space where we can share knowledge and resources about how we can continue to build systems of care that promote wellness, healing and resilience for people across all demographics who are impacted by trauma and toxic stress.
The NYCRC meets on a quarterly basis to learn from different guest speakers on various topics related to trauma-informed care and resilience-building, as well as to connect with other people who are passionate about this work.
